How a workspace is organised
Lists, records and details, and the sidebar that holds them.
The sidebar on the left is the map of your workspace. The top part is your lists: the built-in ones (customers, projects, tasks, calendar, messages, files, invoices, Money & health, cases) and the ones you added. Six show by default; the rest sit under More. You choose which show and in what order under Workspace settings, Manage Objects.
Below the lists are the studios: AI Studio (where Trig lives), Automation Studio (rules), Flow Questions (where a rule waits for a person), and whichever of Booking, Portals, Funding Studio, TG eSign, Lead Studio and TG Sites your workspace has switched on.
At the bottom: Team, Workspace settings, Integrations and your Account.
Records and details
Open any list and you see its records. Open a record and you see its details, its comments, its activity, and the things linked to it (a customer's projects and invoices, a project's steps). A detail can be text, a longer note, a number, money, a date, a choice from a list, yes or no, a web address, a phone number, an email, or a link to a record in another list.
The built-in lists take added details exactly like the lists you create. If your customers need a "Referred by" detail, add it; it is then on every customer record, in every form and in every rule.
Words that change with your business
| The record | A consultant sees | A nonprofit sees | A tutor sees |
|---|---|---|---|
| A customer | Client | Donor | Student |
| A piece of work | Engagement | Program | Course |
You can rename any list to the word you use, under Workspace settings, Manage Objects.
